2,500 jobs to flow from North Sea boost
Ministers yesterday attempted to show that industry was still creating jobs despite economic conditions which have made thousands of car workers redundant. Trade and industry secretary Stephen Byers and energy minister Helen Liddell announced North Sea investments that will create more than 2,500 jobs in the oil and engineering industries.
