Energy World February 2016

We return to renewables in this issue, staying onshore this time. The main focus is on the various parts of the bioenergy world, including an article from the Energy Technologies Institute on the role that local waste gasification projects could play in future UK energy scenarios. Then, two articles on solid biomass – the growing niche for wood pellet boiler heating systems; and some of technical challenges in using wastes and biomass in CHP schemes. In contrast, we also have an article on the huge scope for the use of agricultural and forestry wastes for energy in Malaysia.

How about community energy?
