EV fleet for Swansea University

Decorative image New

A new ‘zero emissions’ fleet of five electric vehicles is helping Swansea University to improve air quality in the city, save money, and reduce carbon emissions. The vehicles – cars, vans and people-carriers – were lined up together for the first time at the Great Hall on the University’s new Bay Campus, for an event on smart technologies organised by Low Carbon Swansea. Two more vehicles are due to arrive shortly.

Between them the five vehicles have covered 20,000 miles so far, saving the emission of 4.5 tonnes of carbon and £2,100 in fuel costs.
