Energy World April 2014

This issue of the magazine has carbon capture and storage (CCS)  as its main theme; see page 14 onwards. We feature two UK schemes, for coal and gas-fuelled power plants, currently inching off the drawing board with government support for front end engineering design studies. We also look at the overall economics of CCS, the current focus for the R&D sector, and overseas developments, including those in the steel industry.

The issue also includes articles on energy management in buildings, including optimisation of HVAC systems, developments in demand-side management and current UK government programmes to cut the amount of energy used in the domestic and commercial sectors.
