Energy World June 2014
Energy used in transport is the main theme of this issue. We follow-up our look at aviation fuels and emissions with articles on how low carbon road vehicle technology can contribute to, among other advantages, better urban air quality.
Our second theme is research and development. The issue includes articles covering Europe’s overarching ‘Horizon 2020’ R&D programme; pioneering energy technology for islands; and how nanotechnology is finding niches in both photovoltaic and energy storage areas.
Last, Professor Jim Skea, our EI centenary interviewee of the month, writes on the prospects for society’s coming to terms with climate change.
