Bouygues Construction’s Challenger site, near Versailles, France

Bouygues Construction’s Challenger site, near Versailles, France, which has had 2.5 MW of PV modules installed on its roof as part of an eco-renovation project.

The majority of the modules were optimised by SolarEdge technology with the company supplying inverters and power optimisers at the site to increase energy yields. The installation includes six firefighter gateways, which are designed to enable firefighters to immediately stop energy production, including decreasing the system voltage to safe DC levels, either manually through an emergency stop button or automatically through a fire alarm control panel system.

The installation covers an area of 25,000 m2 and consists of ground-mounted and roof-mounted sections.
