Dumbleton Hall Hotel

Biomass boiler supplier Treco has been working with a number of hotels across the country to deliver the benefits of biomass boiler plant, including fuel cost savings, reduced emissions and significant incentive payments from the UK government under the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). The operators of Dumbleton Hall Hotel and wedding venue in Worcestershire contacted Treco, having heard about some of their previous projects.

They opted for a 198 kW Guntamatic Biocom cascaded system that runs on vacuum-fed wood pellets, and enlisted Treco to help with the system, from initial design through to commissioning. The results were a 30–40% saving on fuel costs, a 96% reduction in carbon emissions and approximately £22,000 per annum in Commercial RHI payments for the next 20 years. The payback period on the investment is estimated at between four and five years.
