New LNG export facility proposed at Vancouver Island

Vancouver-based LNG project developer Steelhead LNG, together with the Huu-ay-aht First Nations group, is proposing to build a natural gas liquefaction and LNG export facility at Sarita Bay, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. An application has been made to Canada’s National Energy Board to export up to 30mn t/y of LNG for 25 years. The proposed four-train project would have a capacity of 24mn t/y.
