Prototype diesel-hybrid ultra-low emissions bus set for proving trials, Professional Engineering, 10 November 2004, p 8

In Northern Ireland, WrightBus has converted one of its turbine-electric single-decker buses to be powered by a 60 kW 2 L common rail diesel engine together with a new induction motor to give a lower level of CO2 emissions, although the NOx emissions are likely to be doubled to 2 g/km. Tests at Millbrook Proving Ground will aid in optimising the size of battery required for its intended service.
