Reece, D. Business Comment: Why the Energy White Paper could be a white elephant. Daily Telegraph. 24/5/07
The Energy White Paper concentrates on nuclear power which is where most energy must come from. But three developments could make it redundant within three years and the whole process restart. The Nuclear Installations Inspectorate must decide whether to keep Britain's nuclear power stations going beyond their planned 30-year lives .Planning changes detailed in the White Paper may come too late to allow infrastructure installation. Emission trading certificates depend on the stance taken by the EU.
