Tesco is currently the largest retailer of biofuel in the UK, selling some 45mn litres of biodiesel and bioethanol blended fuel to motorists every week from more than 200 outlets - over half of its UK network. The company is on track for national supply from Spring 2007. Peter Cattell, Petrol Category Manager at Tesco, explains the background to Tesco’s involvement in biofuels and his company’s plans for the future.
