Attention is drawn to the Framo and Schlumberger plan to jointly develop products for the multiphase metering market. The principal objective of installing multiphase flow meters (MFM) is in the majority of cases, to simplify the production system and hence, save investment in expensive test lines and separators. Details are presented of the FRAMO MFM, installation procedure, and subsea sampling together with a schematic illustration.
