Details are given of the novel business solution by which the BP Andrew field has been developed. It required the creation of a Well-Engineering Alliance with shared objectives ---a radically new behavioural approach and jointly developed targets. The structure of the Alliance is described together with the development and implementation process and success that has been achieved.
