Lower catalyst resistivities raise precipitator efficiencies. Anon. OGJ, 10 August 1998, 96(32), 78, 79.

Consideration is given to the way in which improved collection efficiencies can be gained in electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) in FCC units by lowering catalyst resistivity. Electrostatic precipitator theory is described and variables to resistivity are outlined. Graphical illustrations are presented and discussed.
