The focus of this study is on a $380-million project involving the development of eight new offshore fields in Block 2 Angola, which despite the major obstacles faced during the initial phases of the project, became a success story. Attention is drawn to the multidimensional approach in the management of risk and uncertainty, together with excellent co-operation with partners and government, resulted in an economic success.
