Prediction and evaluation of horizontal well performance---North Slope, Alaska. D.W. Sherrard. Petrol. Geoscience, January 1995, 1(1), 25--30.

A review is presented of seven years of field production data from a horizontal well programme in Alaska. A comparison is made of expectations and analyses prior to drilling with well performance once on production. Consideration is given to well testing, production logging and reservoir simulation. It is stressed that accurate reservoir description is critical to successful forecasting. 7 refs.
