Counterions contributions in polyelectrolyte adsorption. I. Pochard et al. Rev. Inst. Francais Petrole, March-April 1997, 52(2), 251--253.

The aim of the study reported is to characterize the interactions between sodium polyacrylate and two different cations, calcium II and barium II to determine their contribution to the adsorption process. The experimental techniques described comprise potentiometric titrimetry of polyacrylic acid, ion selective electrode analyses of free Ca2+ and Ba2+, and calorimetry. The results are presented and discussed together with graphical illustrations. 4 refs.
