GNL Escobar, Argentina’s second LNG import terminal, opened for business in June, reports Hazardous Cargo Bulletin. The facility, a joint venture between YPF, Enarsa and Excelerate Energy, is located on the Paraná River some 45 km outside Buenos Aires and uses Excelerate’s GasPort design. The terminal has a baseload throughput capacity of 500mn cf/d, with direct links to the local region and the national gas grid.
