A plan has been released to update or create afresh 31 International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards covering offshore oil and gas drilling, writes Keith Nuthall. The goal, according to ISO, ‘is to help the oil and gas industry prevent or mitigate disasters like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill…’ The changes will cover drilling, well construction and well operations standards.
