James Smith FEI, Chairman of Shell UK, was appointed Energy Institute (EI) President Elect at the EI’s Annual General Meeting at the Institute of Directors on 9 July. He will take up office as President of the Energy Institute in June 2009. He is a long-standing supporter of the EI, having joined in 1982 and served as a Council Member since 2005. He became EI Vice-President in 2006.
