Petronas of Malaysia has signed a memorandum of intent (MoI) with national vehicle manufacturer Proton Holdings Berhad to jointly explore the possibility of the use of Petronas’s two-litre E01 engine technology for the car maker's vehicle line-up. Under the MoI, Petronas and Proton will also look at the possibility of developing environment-friendly NGV (natural gas vehicle) fuel systems for Proton.
