Innovene Manufacturing France has awarded Technip an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services contract to implement the Clean Fuels project at Innovene’s Lavera refinery, which aims to upgrade the refinery to meet new European regulations governing sulphur content in fuels that are being introduced in France from 2007. The project scope includes a new jet sweetening unit, the revamping of two existing hydro-desulphurisation units (HDS) and some associated utilities.
