Nuvera Fuel Cells of the US reports that it has supplied its Avanti™ fuel cell power module to the Japan Gas Association (JGA) under the Japanese Government’s Millennium Programme - a five-year effort to examine proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells for the purpose of establishing technical codes and standards for the Japanese market. Working with Nuvera is Takagi Industrial, a leading Japanese manufacturer of water heating systems. Together, the companies deployed to JGA an integrated combined heat and power (CHP) fuel cell system containing Nuvera's Avanti power module and Takagi’s heating equipment. Mitsui organised the Nuvera-Takagi collaboration and facilitated participation in the programme.
