IBM has announced the award by Eni of a contract to build and run web-based information systems for AgipPetroli’s service station network. The systems will link 3,300 of the company's 9,000 independently owned service stations in Italy directly with management and in a more efficient way. Current plans are that ultimately nearly half of AgipPetroli’s 9,000 filling stations will be connected in this way.
