Woodside moves drillship to Banda prospect
Woodside Petroleum has moved Transocean’s Deepwater Discovery drillship to drill a wildcat well on its Banda prospect offshore Mauritania. The company failed to complete a second well test on its nearby Chinguetti appraisal well 4-2 after mechanical problems with test equipment caused the well to be temporarily suspended. Reserves potential at Banda are estimated at 290m barrels.
