BIDS ARE IN FOR NORWAY'S 16TH ROUND

Fourteen companies have applied for acreage in Norway's sixteenth licencing round, thought to be focussing on the Voring and More deepwater areas. There were 38 applications for the 48 blocks on offer. The applicants were Agip, BP Amoco, Chevron, Conoco, Elf, Enterprise, Exxon-Mobil, Norsk Hydro, Fortum, Phillips, RWE-DEA, TotalFina, Shell and Statoil.
