Guide to sustainable fuels for commercial fleets, Energy World, June 2020, p 26

In UK, the Renewable Fuels Guide has indicated that, although electrification will assist in decarbonising the atmosphere, the 15% of greenhouse gas emissions from heavy goods transport would be achieved largely through the use of renewable fuels. Currently, 4.9% (of energy) of total road fuel contains such renewables, and the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation Order requires this figure to be a minimum of 9.75% by 2020, and 12.4% by 2032.
