Shell proposes world’s largest ‘green’ hydrogen initiative, Energy World, April 2020, p 5
In the Netherlands, a consortium of Shell, Gasunie and Groningen Seaports is planning the largest green hydrogen production in the world. An offshore wind farm will generate 4 GW by 2030, and 10 GW by 2040 when 800 000 tonnes pf hydrogen would be produced annually, preventing the emission of 7 mn tonnes of CO2. The first hydrogen is expected by 2027
