PANCANADIAN TAKES MAJOR NORTH SEA STAKE
PanCanadian Petroleum, has struck a US$211m deal with BP Amoco to acquire its interests in the Scott and Telford oil fields in the UK central North Sea which will bring it production of about 14,000 b/d of light oil and 9m cf/d of gas from Scott. PanCanadian is swapping interests with BP Amoco in other central North Sea blocks.
