In Australia, Ocius has designed the Bluebottle, a solar-powered unmanned vessel that can roam the seas and check for illegal fishing or people smuggling. The prototype has 19 x 50 W solar panels fitted on the sail and deck, together with an underwater flipper on the forward rudder for propulsion by the waves.
