China targets biofuels production, Petroleum Review, November 2017, p 24p 30

In China, the 5-year plan ending in 2020 aims for bioethanol output to double to 5 mn tonnes, and biodiesel to increase to 2 mn tonnes. The former will incorporate a growing domestic supply and reduce imports. To date, the government has selected 11 provinces and 40 municipalities for E10 blending of gasolines. Only one province operates a biodiesel blending rate of 2-5%, whereas in Thailand, biofuel production is planned to reduce, and in Indonesia, biodiesel production is expected to fall by about 16% this year.
