In UK, the new Aerospace Integration Research Centre based at Cranfield University is designed to cut development timetables of aircraft concepts by up to a half by close collaboration with industry. Airbus, Rolls-Royce and academic engineers will work together to improve propulsion efficiency and reduce impacts on the environment.
