Renewable biomethane for high mileage trucks, Energy World, January 2017, p 9

In UK, CNG Fuels is now sourcing its gaseous fuel from food production wastes, and compressing it at its refuelling stations in Lancashire and Cheshire.   This fuel is 35-40% less costly than diesel, and emits 70% less CO2.   Although the prices of CNG-powered trucks are higher than their diesel counterparts, recouping should occur within 2 to 3 years.   CNG-powered engines meet the latest Euro 6 emission standards.
