Construction start on ‘world’s first’ commercial bio-substitute natural gas plant, Professional Engineering, December 2016, p 10

In UK, Go Green Gas is to operate a household-waste-to natural gas plant being built at Swindon.   The waste and biomatter feed will be shredded, dried and heated to produce syngas, then cooled and cleansed of ash and contaminating heavy metals before conversion to methane and CO2.   Removal of CO2 reveals a methane-rich green ‘drop in’ gas which will feed a fleet of 40 haulier trucks.
