Woodside agrees LNG deal with Chubu Electric
Woodside has signed a sales and purchase agreement with Japan’s Chubu Electric Power to supply up to 1.5mn t/y of LNG over three years from April 2014. The LNG will be sourced primarily from previously uncommitted volumes from the 4.3mn t/y Pluto LNG project in Western Australia, which started up in March 2012 and is operated by Woodside (90% stake).
