Energy World September 2009
This issue takes a look at the development of renewables around the world, from a discussion of renewables in less economically-developed countries around the world, via marine power in Norway to wind, solar and geothermal energy in the Caribbean. Back in the UK, we illusrate, on pge 15, some smaller-scale applications of renewables that are becoming almost mainstream in nature. We also include a news story on a proposed large-scale biomass-to-energy plant for Teesside that would burn imported wood waste and with a power generation capacity of nearly 300MW.
