Petroleum Review September 2011

This month’s issue of Petroleum Review features our annual review of E&P activity in the North Sea. While the Norwegian sector is looking buoyant, boosted by a series of fast-track developments, the anticipated increase in the UK sector has been undermined by a significant tax increase in the UK Budget, which led to a 52% decline in exploration activity in 2Q2011. Meanwhile, increasing attention is being paid to theWest of Shetland Atlantic Frontier.

This issue also looks at corporate social responsibility and asks if it is time to return to some triple bottom line (3BL) basics, and assesses how the refining sector can optimise its supply chain processes in order to operate more efficiently and cheaply.
