Energy World July / August 2011

This issue covers the solar photovoltaics energy in Britain, which benefits from the original and generous government feed-in tariff payments which have since been reduced - see the news story on page 11.

Howerever, some of this issue is focussed around carbon capture storage, from Mike Farley's viewpoint article that it's time the pace of development was accelerated, to news of succesful demonstration projects in Europe and the US on pages 16-18. Elsewhere, we take a look at the damaging effects of earthquakes on energy infrastructure - not just nuclear power in Japan, but also the effect on power distribution networks and fuel pipelines in Chile and New Zealand.
