Petroleum Review March 2013

This month’s issue of Petroleum Review looks at the latest updates in the seismic sector – with an expected rise in global E&P expenditure this year, the demand for geoseismic services looks set to continue its upward trend.

We also examine the main challenges and opportunities that lie ahead with regard to shale gas exploration in Europe, and the effect the growth in shale production in the US has had on farming in India.

In our Middle East feature, we discuss the region’s position as a proving ground for new technologies, and question whether the Middle Eastern oil producers should be price makers or takers – there are strong arguments for price signalling in the region but change could be difficult to implement.

Highlights from last month’s IP Week also feature in this issue – as well as coverage of the annual Lunch and Dinner events, we round-up key insights from the conference programme, the theme of which this year was meeting the challenges of today’s oil and gas industry and investing in the opportunities of tomorrow.
