Energy World February 2013
The first article in our feature on renewable energy article examines why the UK is lagging behind France in exploiting this technology. Subsequent articles round-up the status of world-leading marine energy in the UK; describe moves by South Africa to end its dependence on coal-generated power by adding a renewables component; take a new look at biogas production and utilisation at sewage treatment works in Europe; and discuss a hydroelectric scheme to be shared between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
Our second feature concentrates on finance and investment, taking in the energy performance contracting concept for buildings; and how to secure finance for low carbon projects and renewables in the UK.
