UK Energy Bill published
The UK government published its long-awaited Energy Bill in mid- July which strengthens the new Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) and implements recommendations of last year’s Wood Review. The OGA will be given regulatory powers intended to drive greater collaboration and productivity within the oil and gas industry, and aims to help it grow, attract investment, create jobs and remain competitive, according to a statement by the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
