Decorative image New

Petrobras (11.5%) reported first production from the Anadarko-operated deepwater Gulf of Mexico Lucius field in mid-January.

Located in water depths of 2,160 metres, the field is being developed via a truss spar floating production unit (FPU), a cylindrical shaped vertical platform. The FPU has the capacity to process up to 80,000 b/d of oil and 450mn cf/d of natural gas. Lucius is Petrobras’ fourth ultra-deepwater field in production in the US Gulf of Mexico. The field is in the Keathley Canyon area.
