UK government announces national infrastructure plans

Publishing its National Infrastructure Plan in early December, the UK government announced some £50mn of additional investment in ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV) between 2017–2018 and 2019–2020, to support R&D in the UK, based on a government contribution of £25mn for which it will seek match-funding from industry. It also announced a further £15mn for a national network of charge points and provided details of three funds totalling £85mn to support ultra-low emission taxis, buses and cities.
