Indian Oil takes stake in Canadian LNG project

Indian Oil Corporation is to take a 10% interest in the Pacific Northwest LNG project in British Columbia, Canada. It will take 1.2mn t/y of the planned 12mn t/y output for a minimum of 20 years. Following the completion of the transaction, Petronas will retain a 77% interest in the project. A final investment decision (FID) is expected by the end of the year, with initial exports targeted for late 2018.
