Bechtel secures Corpus Christi LNG contract

Bechtel is understood to have secured the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Corpus Christi Liquefaction LNG plant. The three-train, 13.5mn t/y project, which has yet to receive approval from the US Federal Energy Regulatory Committee (FERC), will be built in two stages, with the first train due onstream in 2018. Operator Cheniere Energy is currently working with Bechtel on the Sabine Pass LNG terminal.
