In UK, the Compatible and Affordable Sustainable Transportation (CAST) proposal concerns the synthesis of supplemental and substitute fuel from CO2 and water using wind turbine or other sources of renewable energy. Supplemental kerosine is recommended for aircraft, and supplemental diesel fuel for shipping, plus alcohol substitutes for road and rail transport.
