In UK, the final decision for 100% Sasol CTL fuel is expected this month, following current approval for a 50:50 blend. New carbon-capturing methods can store the CO2 generated from coal or natural gas conversion plants. Some emission tests measure just 1.6% less CO2, with almost complete elimination of NOx and sulphur, and 50-80% less particulates, whereas lubricity is lacking in GTL but not CTL.
