UK new car emissions down 1.2% in 2005, Energy World, July/August 2006, p 6

In UK, the Society for Motor Manufacturers and Traders reports a reduction of 1.2% CO2 per new car in 2005 compared with 2004, due largely to a further growth in the market share of diesel cars, and to efficiency improvements in petrol cars.
