Drivers pay £500 per ton of CO2, Telegraph Motoring, 24 September 2005, p 4

In UK, the Environmental Transport Association has indicated to the government that motorists are required to pay £500 for each ton of CO2 produced, compared with £7 for industry, commerce and households, consequently a cut in petrol tax is sought.
