Micropower - consumers are the key to success. Neville Davis. Energy World October 2008, P. 14-15

There is undoubted scope for the large-scale take-up of on-site micropower technologies for buildings - microgeneration - but progress still seems slow. Recent fuel prces increases and the so-called credit crunch have had both positive and negative effects on the prospects for microgeneration in the UK, and support policies need to be adjusted to suit the changing circumstances, writes Neville Davis. His report picks out some of the salient points made at the 2008 annual micropower conference - and takes a look at subsequent developments (or lack of them).
